Datastore creation on storage luns fail

Cause
Commands timing out to the Storage lun which triggers the HBA to abort I/O's causing the datastore creation to fail.
- In the
vmkernellogs of the ESXi host, while creating the datastore write(2a) command issued to the storage lun fail with the scsi sense code (H:0x8 D:0x0 P:0x0) :

This status is returned when the HBA driver has aborted the I/O. It can also occur if the HBA does a reset of the target.

Read (0x28) failing with the same scsi sense code (H:0x8 D:0x0 P:0x0) returned from the array.
Resolution
Engage the storage/fabric vendor to investigate connectivity issues to the storage LUNs by checking switch logs for errors, validating zoning and path setup, and reviewing storage array configuration for the luns.
