Issue/Introduction

Installation terminated with the following message:

The upgrade has detected an unknown error while running dxupgradecheck and cannot continue.
You must correct the dxupgradecheck validateconfig error manually and then upgrade. Please contact CA Support for assistance.

Environment

CA Directory upgrade from 14.1.4 to 14.1.6.

Cause

Not enough permissions to run the upgrade.

Resolution

Login as root and restart upgrade.
