LB pool member selection does not work as expected in least connection algorithm for HTTP virtual server

Issue/Introduction

• Persistence is enabled in HTTP virtual server.
• In the LB pool, least connection algorithm is used for pool member selection,
• The pool members may be not selected as expected causing the traffic to be not balanced between all pool members.

Environment

VMware NSX 3.x, 4.2.0.x, 4.2.1.x, 9.0.0

Resolution

This is a known issue in NSX and is fixed in NSX versions 4.2.2, 9.0.1

 

Workaround

Add all pool members into a LB pool together.

If the issue is already present in the environment, reconfigure the LB.
