After upgrading and importing instance of Operations for Networks into VCF Operations, license displays in evaluation mode despite Operations being registered and connected to VCF Business Services.
You see an evaluation license for Operations for Networks displayed within Fleet Management for VCF 9.0
Operations for Networks GUI displays a warning "You are in an evaluation mode which expires on <date>"
Refer to Screenshot as below:
VCF Operations for Networks 9.0
VCF Operations for Networks v9.0 licensing is based on at least 1 licensed vCenter v9.0 data source configured within VCF Operations for Networks GUI.
You must have one (1) vCenter v9 data source that has a valid license for Operations for Networks to utilize.
1. You must upgrade your vCenter data source to v9 so that the VCF 9.0 licenses allocated to the vCenter are applied to Operations for Networks.
Or
2. As described in the tech doc VCF Operations for networks License, at least one vCenter data source must have valid 9.0 licenses applied for Operations for Networks to be properly licensed.
As a workaround, you may add a tiny VCF 9.x vCenter with no workloads and a valid license as a data source to VCF Operations for Networks to enable you to continue to monitor your vCenter v8.x and other data sources.
If VCF Operations for Networks v9.0 is upgraded (stand-alone) or deployed without a vCenter v9.0 licensed with 9.0 SKU as a data source, the monitoring will no longer function after 90 days evaluation until you have at least one vCenter v9.0 licensed with VCF 9.0 license SKU.
