Issue/Introduction

I have created my System SSL certificates and the CONFIG member is pointing to the SYSconfigSSL.cnf file.  When initiating a secured transfer using System SSL, the transfer fails with message "XCOMM0780E Txpi 310: TxpiSSLConfig Syntax error Element nb: 1 Section = <SSL_OPTION> Parameter = <INITIATE_SIDE>". What is causing the failure of the transfer?

Environment

Release: CA XCOM for z/OS 12.0
Component: XCMVS

Cause

The SSL_VERSION=SYSTEM parameter in the CONFIG member was not set correctly

Resolution

Set SSL_VERSION=SYSTEM in your CONFIG member. If the parameter is not present in the CONFIG member add it with the value of SYSTEM. Otherwise the default is SSL_VERSION=OPEN.

Additional Information

Refer to the CA XCOM for z/OS online documentatation for a list of the CONFIG parameters and their values.
