Introduction:

Each object (file, email etc.) that is parsed into the CMS Database comprises of metadata (For example, an email’s delivery date, 'envelope' details, what policy triggers were applied, and so on).  These databases entries are assigned a unique identifier (EventUID) which is a Key used to uniquely identify the specific event.

 

Question:

How many events can be recorded in CA Data Protection (DataMinder) Database?

 

Answer:

The EventUID Key is a sequence number which cannot be repeated. This sequence number has a minimum allowable value of ‘1’ and max allow value ‘9999999999999999999999999999’
