Issue/Introduction

The harvest super user is created during the installation of Harvest

Security audits or compliance requirements may ask Harvest administrators to delete, or modify this user.

Can this user be deleted?

Can the permissions of this user be modified?

Resolution

The harvest super user is created with a USROBJID of 1 in the HARUSER table during the installation of Harvest.

Harvest must have a user assigned to this ID.

This does not have to be the harvest super user, but there must be a user with USROBJID of 1.

This user with simply needs to exist. 

If needed you can lock/disable this user, but we do not advise the deletion of this user.
