Issue/Introduction

Customer would like to know Broadcom's guidance for CVE-2025-21588 for M&R 7.8.x.

Vulnerability in the MySQL Server product of Oracle MySQL (component: Server: DML). Supported versions that are affected are 8.4.0-8.4.4 and 9.0.0-9.2.0. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows high privileged attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise MySQL Server. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash (complete DOS) of MySQL Server. Resolution

This CVE affects MySQL versions 8.4.0 to 8.4.4 and 9.0.0 to 9.2.0. Since M&R 7.8 uses MySQL version 8.0.x, it is not affected by this vulnerability.
