After upgrading to 23.4 CU4 or CU5 nas stops to sync alarms between IM console and OC

Issue/Introduction

After upgrading to CU4 or CU5 there is some delay to sync the alarms between IM alarm console and OC. most of the times it takes 5 to 10 minutes to sync alarms but some 10 mins, but it can take as much as 30 mins

There have been reports of even having the nas probe crash.

 

Environment

• DX UIM 23.4 CU4 and CU5
• UIM DB on Oracle , most frequently seen on Linux

Cause

Engineering informed that the root cause is the addition of a new column to the UIM database, particularly externalId, which triggered some code issues.  

Resolution

• For 23.4 CU4  nas 23.4.4-D3
• For 23.4 CU5  nas 23.4.5.2
