Data Collection error seen from Cisco ACI in VCF Operations for Networks

Issue/Introduction
When logged into VCF Operations for Networks user interface, no data appears to be seen from Cisco ACI environment, despite having been seen at a point in time in the past.
NOTE: VCF Operations for Networks was formerly named Aria Operations for Networks (AON), and prior to that was named vRealize Network Insight (vRNI).
Environment
VCF Operations for Networks 6.x
Cause
The APIC API "/api/node/class/infraCont.json" is returning an empty response which is not expected in cases where data was previously available.
This API provides VCF Operations for Networks with the information of ACI fabrics.
Collection of raw data to investigate shows "0 entries" which is not expected.
Resolution
The team responsible for maintenance and support of the Cisco ACI portion of the environment should investigate for changes that would suggest a possible root cause.
One example of such a change would be that during an update within the Cisco ACI environment, passwords are unexpectedly reset. In this case, after the passwords were restored to the previous values, the data began to appear in VCF Operations for Networks.
