Issue/Introduction

• vCenter Lifecycle Management (vLCM) fails to sysnc update with following error message
  
  

  A general system error occurred: A depot is inaccessible or has invalid contents. Make sure an official depot source is used and verify connection to the depot.

• Adding depot URLs per https://knowledge.broadcom.com/external/article/390121/ does not fix the issue
• The /var/log/vmware/vmware-updatemgr/vum-server/imageservice.log displays the error:

Cause

The xml file can not be parsed correctly.

Resolution

1. Fix the xml file format
2. Or disable the depot of fix the formart issue of xml and add depot URLs per https://knowledge.broadcom.com/external/article/390121/ does not fix the issue
