Issue/Introduction

The Datacom MUF shows error:

DB00158E - M/T ERR  cicsjobname  jobnumber -1 TASK-nnn       

In CICS  Datacom transaction getting error:

ICSCERRP99E - INTERR: Internal system error   

ICSCSNON19E - ERROR IN OPENING DATADICTIONARY 084 001    

and IDEAL transaction error:

IDADERRP71E - INTERR: CA-DATADICTIONARY error, RC=DNA

Cause

The following message can be seen in the MUF log prior to the M/T Errors:
DB00311I - LOG AREA IS 100% FULL, SPILLING TRACK NONE, OUT OF nnnnn

The M/T ERR and return code 84 indicate a multi-tasking error occurred. This is a communication error between the Datacom interface and the MUF.

In this case it occurs because the LXX log file is 100% full.
Datacom CICS Services needs to write a logging record when a CICS task starts. It's the same for an IDEA (IDEAL) session.

Resolution

Automation should be set up to trap MUF message DB00308I and submit the SPILL job.
Don't wait until the LXX gets to 100% full before submitting the SPILL job .
