VCF Operations for Networks

Issue/Introduction

If you see a message such as the following after installing VCF Operations for Networks, you should either delete the installation and re-deploy using a larger brick size, or follow instructions to increase the brick size.

24-hour active flow count: ####### has exceeded Platform flows capacity in VCF Operations for Networks

Where: ###### is a number of flows.

NOTE:  VCF Operations for Networks was formerly named Aria Operations for Networks (AON), and prior to that was named vRealize Network Insight (vRNI).

Environment

VCF Operations for Networks 6.x

Cause

VCF Operations for Networks has specific brick size limit suggestions so that the application can properly process the data.

These are suggested in this documentation:  System Recommendations and Requirements

Resolution

If you choose to increase the brick size of your setup instead of deleting and re-deploying at the higher brick size, follow the instructions at Increase the Brick Size of Your Setup

Note that there are different instructions in the documentation for the two cases:

  • For a single node platform or fresh independent OVA; or
  • For a cluster setup
