VCF Operations/Automation (formerly VMware Aria Suite)

Issue/Introduction

  • After installation (often after a failure) the VCF Health dashboard is not populated in Operations.
  • When examining the hosts and vCenters you find them all to be in an 'Activating' state.
  • VCF Installer has changed to SDDC Manager so you cannot confirm installation has completed.

Environment

VCF Operations 9.x

VCF SDDC Manager 9.x

Cause

This is caused by a failure in installation of VCF where the installing appliance is prematurely changed to a completed SDDC Manager.

Resolution

You will need to complete the VCF Installation before any of the hosts can be successfully onboarded into Operations for VCF Health.

Follow the instructions here to access the VCF Installer portion of your SDDC Manager appliance and troubleshoot/ complete the install: https://knowledge.broadcom.com/external/article?articleNumber=406634
