DNAC Wireless Access point named being changed every 24 hours with no user intervention.
Deleting the Wireless Access Points and resyncing VNA restores the naming, but the naming changes in 24 hours.
Performance Management, all supported version
Virtual Network Assurance, all supported versions
The parent wireless access controller is discovered as SNMP and has the Metric Family "SA Wireless Access Point" applied.
This will trigger the creation of SNMP based wireless access points that consolidate with the VNA bases wireless access points.
If the devices are deleted, the naming will change when change detection runs on the parent device again and rediscovers the SNMP based wireless access points.
To determine the source agent device for the wireless access point:
1) Get the Data Aggregator device Item ID from the devices Device Admin page Details tab for the wireless access point.
2) Use this ID with the Data Aggregator REST endpoint;
http(s)://<da>:<port>/devices/sourceagent/<id>
Example:
https://dahostname.dom.tld:8582/rest/devices/sourceagent/1234
3) In the rest output look for:
<SourceAgentIDs><id></SourceAgentIDs>
4) Use this ID to identify the Source Agent device:
http(s)://<da>:<port>/devices//<id>
Example:
https://dahostname.dom.tld:8582/rest/devices/1234
Either:
1) Remove the "SA Wireless Access Point" Metric Family from the Monitoring Profile that is applying it to the the parent device and resync VNA
NOTE: The metric family will still show as Supported when removed, but as long as it is no longer applied via a Monitoring Profile to Collection the device is in it will no longer be applied.
2) Create an extension to the CiscoAirespaceAPStatsMib (internal name) vendor certification to name the devices as you need them to be named.
