Issue/Introduction

  • Attempts to remove a failed or broken VIDB environment can fail for any of the following reasons:
    • The associated SSO has already been removed possibly by following Cleanup SSO configuration if VCF Identity Broker is down.
      • You may receive an 'Unable to reset SSO' error during the attempted removal request in Fleet Manager.
    • One or more of the VIDB nodes has been manually deleted/removed from the cluster.
      • You may receive an 'Unable to find VM' error if one of the nodes has been manually deleted.

Environment

VCF Operations 9.x

Resolution

Start a delete VIDB environment request in Fleet Manager and select 'skip task' if the request fails on the task to reset the SSO or you receive the 'unable to find VM' error during the delete environment request.
