User interface of SEP 14.3 RU10 client shows Windows Server 2022 instead of Windows Server 2025

Issue/Introduction

You installed Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) 14.3 RU10 on Windows Server 2025. However, SEP client user interface and Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) both show this client as Windows Server 2022.

Environment

• Windows Server 2025 in air-gapped network (no internet access)
• SEP 14.3 RU10 client

Cause

STIC definition is missing on SEP client.

• C:\ProgramData\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\CurrentVersion\Data\Definitions\STICDefs

Resolution

To work around this issue, please follow one of the following steps:

• Configure SEPM or SEP client to download STIC definitions using LiveUpdate Administrator (LUA).
• Install 14.3 RU10 unmanaged client (download from support portal) and then import sylink.xml to convert to managed client.
