Issue/Introduction

When installing the nojvm version of the 12.8.x Web Agent, what versions of Java are supported?

Environment

SiteMinder Web Agent 12.8.x

Cause

SiteMinder 12.8.x Web Agent uses Install Anywhere version 2020 to perform the installation, which relies on Java.

Resolution

Java compatibility is based on the requirements of Install Anywhere. The web agent itself runs without using Java.

Currently Java 8 and 11 are known to work with Install Anywhere version 2020.

Additional Information

The Configuration Wizard also relies on Java so Java cannot be removed after installation if you need to be able to re-run the Configuration Wizard.
