Issue/Introduction

VM failed to migrate and went to powered off state when  putting host to maintenance mode when using vVOL datastore.

vCenter UI error for VM task:

Migration error - Failed to resume destination VM: Failure.

VMware vSphere ESXi 8.x

VMware vCenter Server 8.x

 

Cause

 

 

Resolution

Issue is resolved in 8.0.3P07
Alternatively please advice to engage with storage vendor to increase the number of connections to avoid prolonged downtime of VVOLD
