Issue/Introduction

We have a customer who is inquiring about the discontinuation of UIM robot support for Solaris on x86_64 systems. Currently, Solaris robot is only supported on Solaris SPARC. 

As per the DX UIM Component Compatibility Matrix ,  Solaris support for the UIM robot is only available on SPARC-based systems.  x86 support was dropped a couple of years ago.

Could you please provide the reason why UIM robot support on x86 was stopped?

Environment

UIM: 23.4.6 or prior
Robot: 23.4.6 or prior

Resolution

We are planning to reinstate its support in 23.4 CU7. For now, you can use robot released with 20.4 CU9. 

ETA for CU7 is March 2026 (subject to change).
