Issue/Introduction

The following Alert in vSAN Health is observed: 

 

vSAN Cluster configuration consistency - Key Management Servers information is inconsistent with cluster configuration

 

 

Environment

vSAN 7.x
vSAN 8.x

Cause

As stated in the related Warning above: Key Management Servers information is inconsistent with cluster configuration.
The alert can be triggered after removing an expired KMS Certificate ( = KB 383055 )

Resolution

Remediate the inconsistent configuration by hitting the Button "Remediate inconsistent configuration" (see Screenshot above),
along with checking the "Allowed reduced redundancy" in the resulting window:

 

 

 

Note: 
Hitting the Button "Remediate inconsistent configuration" should not cause any Re-Encryption of the existing vSAN Cluster. 
It only updates vSAN with the KMS Information from vCenter. 
The Task itself should be completed within minutes (assuming no underlying other issues are present)
