Issue/Introduction

Not being able to see the 2 different protection group when creating array based protection groups.

Environment

VLSR (All Versions)

Cause

This issue can be caused by a VM having hard disks that are in datastores that are in each consistency group. This causes the consistency groups to combine due to the VM needing both groups to fail over.

Resolution

Make sure all disks on a VM are in the same datastore or in datastores in a single consistency group in the array.
