Issue/Introduction

  • In Aria Operations, incorrect vCenter CPU rates are displayed for Rate Factor Tags configured under Operations > Configurations > Policy Definition > VM Pricing > Tags.

Environment

  • Aria Operations 8.18.x

Cause

  • This is a known issue in the Pricing Engine platform layer. The mapping of chargeAppliesType string to ratefactor string is missing, which causes rate factor values to always be picked from the policy instead of the tag.

Resolution

This issue is fixed in the upcoming VCF Operations version 9.1 release.

A Workaround is available. Please open a support ticket on the Broadcom Support portal and reference this KB article 408745.
