Issue/Introduction

In Security Analytics 8.2.8, there used to be a page under System Health called Data Sizes and another called Storage that are no longer present after the upgrade to 8.3.1

Environment

Security Analytics 8.3.1

Cause

The Data Sizes page and the Storage page were intentionally removed because the data in those pages was hard to decipher or was somewhat inaccurate.

Resolution

In 8.2.8, there were two screens that showed disk statistics.  One was on the System Health > Data Sizes page.  It looks like this:

Most of the information posted there was irrelevant to the standard end user and these statistics were not always accurate to begin with.  The most important information from this screen is now visible on the Capture > Summary page in the table below the graph.  It looks like this:

"Legacy" refers to any data captured under 8.2.x.  The two bottom lines is everything captured under 8.3.x.  Eventually the Legacy data will get overwritten and show "N/A".

The other screen was under System Health > Data Sizes.  It looked like this with some additional tabs for Total Captured and Total Filtered.

The size on disk showed the size but not in relation to the disk itself, so it was removed.  Total Captured and Total Filtered is still available in the Capture > Summary page.  There's an aggregated list for all interfaces or you can view each individual capture interface along with their capture/filtered statistics.
