When running a "what if analysis" in Capacity > What-if Analysis > Infrastructure Planning, users are prompted to SELECT SERVER. In the ensuing selection menu, you will not see a complete list of servers in your cluster, you only see types or servers. If all your servers are exactly alike (CPU/CPU speed, RAM) then you will only see a single server.
If you have different types of hosts, like one at 2.2GHz and another at 2.6GHz, you would then see two servers appear in the list.
If the CPUs and RAM are identical, however, they were manufactured by different companies, you would again see two servers in the list, one from each company.

In the Capacity > What-if Analysis > Infrastructure Planning (either Traditional or Hyperconverged) > Remove Hosts, under Server Details, when we click on SELECT SERVER we find that the servers listed are types of servers and the not the list of servers in the cluster you've selected.
This is expected behavior.
You may have eight hosts in this cluster, but, in some cases you may have three types of servers in the cluster. This is common as companies build out their infrastructure. Often, servers are purchased in batches and placed into service.
This is expected behavior. Select the server type you wish to remove, select the number of servers you want to remove and Run the Scenario.
