Issue/Introduction

The prerequisites outlined in the technical documentation appear to be ambiguous. Could you please confirm the specific prerequisites necessary for installing the DB2 connector?

Environment

Identity Manager v14.5

Resolution

Following are the DB2 connector requirements,:

  • The DB2 connector is managed via the C++ Connector Server (CCS). Please ensure that the CCS connector is installed.

  • The 32-bit version of the DB2 UDB/LUW administration client must be installed for the DB2 UDB Connector.

  • According to the Identity Manager 14.5 platform support matrix, DB2 11.1 is supported as an endpoint system, either through the out-of-the-box DB2 connector or ConnectorXpress (JDBC).

To date, Identity Manager is only certified with DB2 version 11.1. Please be aware that the DB2 version you are currently using reached end-of-support (EOS) five years ago, with extended support ending earlier this year. IBM_EOS_Dates
