The OS upgrade from Windows 2012 R2 to Windows 2022 on DevTest servers will have any impact?

Issue/Introduction

DevTest servers are upgrading the OS from Windows 2012 R2 to Windows 2022. Does DevTest will have any impact?

All supported release of Service Virtualization

Resolution

Make sure the new OS Windows 2022 is supported by DevTest. This information can be found in the System Requirements of specific version of Service Virtualization.

Follow the below steps:

. Make sure the the new OS version is supported by DevTest. DevTest support Windows 2022 per  System Requirements . 

. Stop all the DevTest services and set it to Manual start until the OS is upgraded.

. Take a backup of all the databases if they are on Windows 2012 R2 and upgrading.

. Take a backup of DevTest install folders.

Since it is a OS upgrade, someone from the OS team should be providing you with the necessary steps. Please check with them.
