Issue/Introduction

Rally customers who currently rely on custom pages and applications built with the App SDK will need to migrate their functionalities as these features are being deprecated and will no longer be supported after October 31, 2026. This impacts their existing workflows and tailored Rally experiences.

Cause

The deprecation is due to the App SDK being built on outdated technology that is no longer actively supported, posing unacceptable security and performance risks to the Rally platform. This decision ensures the long-term security, performance, and stability of the Rally service. 

Resolution

Customers need to transition their custom page functionalities to Rally's enhanced Custom Views and Custom HTML widgets. Rally is providing tools to help administrators identify critical custom pages for prioritization, will continue to enhance Custom Views, and offers support through account representatives and the support team to discuss specific use cases and plan migration strategies.
