Spectrum install completes but with "error while loading shared libraries: libncurses.so.5"

Issue/Introduction

Spectrum installation completes but with error:

Remote execute failed: no error string returned

SPC-INT-20030: Installation failed

SPC-INT-20065: The installation of Spectrum is finished, but some errors occurred during the install.  Please see the installation log for details.

Environment

DX NetOps Spectrum 24.3.x
Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 9.x

Cause

The libncurses library maybe installed but on RHEL 9.x, the necessary softlinks maybe missing for libncurses.so.5.

Resolution

Need to create softlinks as these are missing in RHEL 9.6

sudo ln -s "/usr/lib64/libncurses.so.6.2" "/usr/lib64/libncurses.so.5"
sudo ln -s "/usr/lib64/libtinfo.so.6.2" "/usr/lib64/libtinfo.so.5"
