Aria Operations for Networks 6.14.0
Aria Operations for Networks 6.14.1

Cause

This issue is seen since system usage have breached the current capacity for the Cluster deployment.

Resolution

To Fix the Capacity breach alert see on Aria Operations for Networks GUI, a Cluster expansion is needed.

Cluster expansion will increase the system’s capacity, thereby eliminating the "Active flow" and "All Flow" breach alerts see on the GUI with red triangle and an exclamation mark

Procedure as below:

  1. Refer to available System Recommendations and Requirements documentation  to determine how may more platform nodes are request for this.

  2. Deploy the New Nodes using Aria Operations for Networks Platform OVA via vCenter, Refer to available Aria Operations for Networks deployment documentation for the steps and complete the initial set up of the new platform Nodes.

  3. Newly deployed nodes should be of the same brick size as of existing nodes in Cluster.

  4. OVA deployment by default allows deployment with 1 TB of Disc.

  5. Post Deployment from OVA via vCenter, added a New Disc of 1 TB from vCenter, Refer to available documentation for the steps to Increase the Disk Size

  6. Expand the Cluster within Aria Operations for Networks GUI, Refer to Expand or Scale Out Cluster documentation for the steps.

Note: During Cluster expansion a reconfiguration of existing Cluster is done, this can take upto 6- to 90 minutes.

  7. Post Cluster expansion is complete on the GUI Click on Close, Refer to Screenshot below:

  8. You will prompted to login, once you login to Aria Operations for Networks GUI, navigate to Settings>Infrastructure and update page, under this page you should now see addition Platform nodes.

  9. Platform capacity is now able to accommodate the required number of flows and rules.

  10. Capacity breach alert see on Aria Operations for Networks GUI should not be there post Cluster expansion and reconfiguration is complete.
