Issue/Introduction

Looking for the steps to update Gateway OVA platform update, operating system libraries, and mysql from 11.0 base to gateway 11.1.1

The current gateway patches:

# ls -ltrh /opt/SecureSpan/PatchManagement/var/patches/

total 4.0K

Environment

Gateway 11.x

Resolution

Starting at Gateway 11.0 base: 

Debian 12 In-Place Upgrade

These steps for Gateway OVA 11.0, for the mysql ONLY 

Before proceeding with the in-place upgrade, it is recommended to take a snapshot of the OVA.

Step 1: Install latest MPP for Debian 11

Layer7_API_PlatformUpdate_64bit_v11.0-Debian-2025-07-24.L7P

Step 2 Install Debian12 OS platform patch Layer7_API_PlatformUpdate_v11.1.00-Debian-17707.L7P

Reboot

Step 3 Verify after reboot that debian 12  

# uname -r  

6.1.0-20-amd64

Step 4 Update to Gateway from 11.0 to 11.1 “Layer7_API_Gateway_Debian_v11.1.00-17707.L7P”  - Needed for major JAVA version change from 11.0 to 17.0

Step 5 Upgrade PMS on GW11.1 Layer7_API_PMS_Debian_v2.0.0-20240715115049.L7P

Restart required signing key switch

Step 6 Update Gateway  Layer7_API_Gateway_Debian_v11.1.1-18484.L7P

Step 7.Upgrade Debian12 MPP on GW11.1

Layer7_API_PlatformUpdate_64bit_v11.1-Debian-2025-07-24.L7P
