Error: 'The connection has timed out' received while accessing Operations manager plugin from VMware Cloud Director tenant portal

Issue/Introduction

• When attempting to access the Operations Manager through the VMware Cloud Director (vCD) Tenant Portal, the following error is encountered: “The connection has timed out”

• Reviewing the HAR file shows that access attempts to the Aria Operations plugin result in a 404 error.

Environment

VMware Cloud Director:  10.5.0
VMware Aria Operations: 8.16.x and above

Cause

This issue occurs due to an incompatibility between VCD 10.5.0 and the chargeback functionality in Aria Operations versions above 8.16.
As a result, required API filters for the plugin extension are missing in the VCD API.

Resolution

Upgrade VMware Cloud director to any version above 10.5.1. Reference document to upgrade: Upgrading and Migrating Your VMware Cloud Director Appliance
