SO09928  CWL5100  GIM54502E      3   ALLOCATION FAILED FOR SDFHLOAD BECAUSE THERE IS NO DD STATEMENT IN THE JCL AND
NO DDDEF ENTRY IN TARGET ZONE CAIT0.

Environment

Release: 5.1.

Cause

CICS is not in use and therefore there is no DDDEF for SDFHLOAD in the CSI.

Resolution

Create a dummy DDDEF for SDFHLOAD.

To do this, follow these steps ...

  1. Open a support case referring to this KD - 408496 - and request the stub SDFHLOAD module.
  2. A support technician will provide the module in the "files_from_broadcom" directory of the support case.
  3. Download it to a PC.
  4. FTP it to the mainframe using the following sample FTP commands:

    binary
    site lrecl=80 blksize=3120 recfm=fb pri=30 sec=5 cyl
    put 'xmit.cics.sdfhload' 'hlq.sdfhload.rcv'

  5. Use TSO RECEIVE to receive the stub load library. Example:

    TSO RECEIVE INDSNAME(hlq.SDFHLOAD.RCV) DSNAME(hlq.SDFHLOAD)

  6. Define a DDDEF to the CSI for the received load library:

    ADD DDDEF(SDFHLOAD)
        SHR DA(hlq.SDFHLOAD)

The PTFs should now APPLY successfully.
