Clarity PPM SaaS

Issue/Introduction

Current process is to first log in to Clarity, and then access the Broadcom Support site (support.broadcom.com). We do not have a way to access the support site directly using Single Sign-On (SSO). Looking for a way to access the Broadcom support site without needing another login. If Clarity is down for an upgrade, the Broadcom support site becomes inaccessible.

Environment

Clarity PPM

Resolution

Your available options are:

Option 1: Local Credentials with MFA** --- This option involves registering directly at support.broadcom.com using your domain email address. MFA will be required during your first login. This is a straightforward method, though it does not utilize your SSO.

Option 2: Provision a Clarity account for the user in lower environment** --- With this option, a Clarity account would be provisioned for the user, allowing them to log in to Clarity However, they would NOT have any permissions within the Clarity application to view/change any Clarity data.

Option 3 (We will need to engage the Global Customer Assistance (GCA) and they are supporting the Broadcom Support Portal. Proposed solution is to have a new federation entry on the IDP for Broadcom support site access. This approach would involve creating a new federation entry on your Identity Provider specifically for accessing the Broadcom support site, distinct from the Clarity IDP. This setup would enable users to access the Support Portal using SSO, without any password prompts.
