Upgrade Option for Aria Operations 8.18.4 to VCF Operations 9.0 is greyed out in Aria Suite Lifecycle Manager

Issue/Introduction

When attempting to upgrade VMware Aria Operations 8.18.4 to version 9.0 using VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle Manager, users encounter a scenario where the upgrade option for VCF Operations is greyed out, even after successfully uploading and mapping the necessary binaries, VCF Operations 9.0 PAK file & Fleet Manager OVA file.

Cause

Upgrades from VMware Aria Operations 8.18.4 to the next major release are only supported starting with VCF 9.0.1.0 and later versions. An upgrade from VMware Aria Operations 8.18.4 to VCF 9.0.0.0 is not permitted.

Resolution

Follow the below steps to resolve this issue and proceed with the upgrade to 9.0:
- Revert to available snapshots or backups, if previously taken.
- Wait for or obtain VCF 9.0.1.0 or a later supported release.
