Issue/Introduction

Customers using Identity Governance (IG) for SAP data import to detect Segregation of Duties (SoD) conflicts may encounter issues with a missing SAP Data Connector and the SAP endpoint form not displaying the "USER" field unless SNC Mode is activated, even if SNC is not used.

Environment

Identity Suite (Identity Governance Client Tools) version 14.5.1 (vApp),
SAP ERP 730 ECC 6.06 SP 27 (Customer's version), and

Cause

Compatibility concerns with the customer's SAP version and an outdated SAP connector tool may also arise. Symptoms: Error messages related to inability to import SAP data, the "USER" field being absent in the SAP endpoint creation form without SNC, and form submission failures.

A suspected bug in the Identity Governance application is the root cause for the "USER" field issue. The initial absence of the SAP Data Connector is a provisioning issue. Compatibility discrepancies and an outdated connector contribute to the problem.

Resolution

For the missing SAP Data Connector, use the "Discover and Audit" program as a workaround. For the "USER" field issue, this is a suspected bug requiring further investigation; exploring importing Identity Manager data is an alternative consideration. For SAP version compatibility and the outdated connector, verify against the compatibility matrix and consider updates or configurations

Additional Information

Engage Broadcom Support for bug investigation, clarify the process for obtaining the connector, and maintain communication with the customer, noting that troubleshooting was paused at the customer's request. The ultimate objective is successful SAP data import for SoD conflict detection within Identity Governance.
