Issue/Introduction
A deployment attempt from an existing catalog item fails because a required customization specification does not exist in vCenter.
Deployment fails with the error: customization specification with name <spec_name> was not found
Environment
VMware Aria Automation 8.x
Cause
The customization specification referenced by the deployment is missing in vCenter.
Resolution
- Log in to the vCenter Server where the deployment is being executed.

Navigate to Policies and Profiles > Customization Specifications.

Verify if the required customization specification exists (example: <spec_name>).

If it does not exist:

Create a new customization specification with the required name and settings.

Retry the deployment.
