Issue/Introduction

The error occurs because the DNS entry ( DNS_2) contains a leading whitespace character at the beginning of the value.

This invalid formatting prevents the system from configuring DNS successfully during the host commissioning process.

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation

Cause

During brownfield imports or in certain scenarios within SDDC Manager, an additional whitespace may be introduced in the DNS configuration.

This whitespace can appear either in the primary or secondary DNS entry.

Since the UI may not always allow the removal of this invalid entry, the DNS must be corrected at the PostgreSQL database level.
