Issue/Introduction

There are some graphs of high speed interfaces where there is no data when they exceed 16 Gbps.

Environment

DX NetOps Performance Management: Any release

Cause

The delta cache got overridden to 600,000,000,000 for the comparison.

A customization was done to the /opt/IMDataCollector/apache-karaf/etc/com.ca.im.dm.snmp.collector.SnmpCollector.cfg file and added the following:

largeDeltaValueThreshold=600000000000

The following message was found in the /opt/IMDataCollector/apache-karaf/data/logs/CounterRollover.log file:

2025-08-24T22:44:05,727 | INFO  | xecutor-thread-2 | CounterRollover                  | .dm.snmp.rdp.impl.SnmpDeltaCache  366 | 43 - com.ca.im.data-collection-manager.core.interfaces - 23.3.12.RELEASE-1 |  | Delta calculated is greater than or equal to 600000000000; dropping response: previous=2723744231912425 / current=2724872513820240 for ip <IP address>, OID 1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.10.10, itemID 4593423, in poll group 3502.

Resolution

Remove the above customization or delete the com.ca.im.dm.snmp.collector.SnmpCollector.cfg file.

No need to restart the DC service to put the change in place.
