UIM OC device deletion not completing

Issue/Introduction

Issues are observed trying to delete devices in OC.  The device deletion starts, but never finishes, showing "In Progress" or "Failed" results.

Environment

• DX UIM 23.4 CU3 - CU4

Cause

Defect in the device deletion.

Resolution

Patches have been released for CU3 and CU4.  The fix is also included with CU5 and later. 

The patches for CU3 and CU4 are attached to this article.  Follow the below steps to deploy:

1. Download the patch for your version from the article
2. Add the patch to your UIM archive
3. Deploy the patch to your OC server(s)
4. Allow the deployment to complete and the wasp probe to restart completely.

After the patch is deployed, the existing failed jobs can be retried to clean up orphaned records.  It may take a few attempts, but they should be successfully be completed.
