NetOps: DA Vendor Cert keeps reverting to an older version

Issue/Introduction

While using DX NetOps Performance Manager, you may run into a rare scenario where a new version of a Vendor Cert which was applied, reverts back to an older version with seemingly no explaination why.

Environment

DX NetOps Peformance Managment

Cause

This is due to an old feature in early verisons of Performance Management where you could edit Vendor Cert's from the GUI. The feature would create an all lowercase *.xml file in: /opt/IMDataAggregator/data/certifications/custom/vendor_certs/ and it would override the default VC. As it turns out, it also overrides and custom extensions in /opt/IMDataAggregator/data/custom/extension/vendor_certs.

Resolution

1. Navigate to /opt/IMDataAggregator/data/certifications/custom/vendor_certs/ and looks for all lowercase *.xml files such as:

    im.ca.com-certifications-snmp-alcatelqossapnouncoloredmib.xml

    rename it to:

    im.ca.com-certifications-snmp-alcatelqossapnouncoloredmib.xml.bak

2. Re-apply your newer version of the Vendor Cert. It will no longer bet overridden.
