SSH MindTerm launches but immediately disconnects and closes

Issue/Introduction

SSH MindTerm appears to connect to the target machine briefly, but then it is immediately disconnected and the window closes.

The session log shows both connection and disconnection messages:

PAM-SPFD-0012: Symantec PAM[661089]: super connected to ##.##.##.##:22; Idle time out: 30;
PAM-SPFD-0015: Symantec PAM[661089]: Connection terminated; Duration:  13s;

If the Applet Log Level is set to Debug on the Configuration > Diagnostics > Diagnostic Logs page, the PAM Client’s logs.log file displays the error: "Too many authentication failure"

Environment

Privileged Access Management 4.x

Cause

SSH MindTerm access has been configured with auto-login, but the selected account/credential is incorrect.

Resolution

Disable auto-login or use the correct account/credentials.
