Issue/Introduction

pgbouncer libraries necessary for the installation of the legacy version vmware-postgres 17.5.0

rpm2cpio: /tmp/test/vmware-postgres17-pgbouncer-*.el8.x86_64.rpm: No such file or directory
cpio: premature end of archive

Environment

Legacy RPM of VMware Tanzu for Postgres 17.5.0

Cause

'vmware-postgres17-pgbouncer-1.24.0-3.el8.x86_64.rpm' is missing from the RPM package of the legacy version of VMware Tanzu for Postgres 17.5.0

Resolution

The 'vmware-postgres17-pgbouncer-1.24.0-3.el8.x86_64.rpm' package from the corresponding non-legacy version of vmware-postgres 17.5.0 can be used as a replacement.

 

1. Download the corresponding 'vmware-postgres17-17.5-1' non-legacy package from the broadcom product portal
2. unzip the artifact and copy the 'vmware-postgres17-pgbounce' rpm in to the directory where the legacy version if postgres is unpacked
3. re-run the install script 'vmware_rpms_to_legacy_installers_1.2.0.bash'
