Unable to assign license to vCenter in VCF Operations after deploy

Issue/Introduction

  • Unable to assign licenses to vCenter in VCF Operations after setting up VCF or VVF environment
  • License page in VCF Operations shows vCenter section as empty despite setting up the integration and having a valid connection : 

 

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation 9 

VCF Operations 9

Resolution

  1. Login to the VCF Operations UI 
  2. Click on Administartion > Integrations
  3. Click on the box next to the vCenter and then click 'ACTIVATE MANAGEMENT'

Wait about 10 minutes after and the vCenter should show up under the license page to assign a license.

Additional Information

Ensure necessary privileges and permissions are set on any service accounts manually configured for VCF Operations. Ensure the account is apart of the Global Licenses privilege and apart of the LicenseService.Administrators and Administrators groups. See Privileges Required for Configuring a vCenter Account
