Issue/Introduction

I was setting up ServiceNow Attachments field <> Jira Attachments field when I received the error shown in the screenshot attached. The ServiceNow adapter has never asked me for this information before.

I selected "Array" so that it matches Jira and that seems to work. Attachments are flowing as expected.

However, I can also retroactively click the gear menu on the field mapping and select a blank value! Attachments continue to work fine after performing this action.

Problems:

1. The lack of a default value seems like an unintended change.

2. The selected value seems arbitrary.

3. The list of options varies depending on which menu you're looking at.

Steps to Reproduce: 

  1. Create a ServiceNow to Jira automation

  2. Map attachments and note that there is no default value selected

  3. Try to save without selecting a value and see the error: Cannot save until all fields have data types configured

  4. Select a value and save

Expected Results: 

  • A default value is selected for Attachments

Actual Results:

  • No default value is selected
