Issue/Introduction

Seeing the following error while attempting to start provisioning server from Windows service with error code 21

In the IMPS log, we see the following:

TLS: can't connect.
backend_startup: bi_db_open 0 failed!
slapd stopped.
connections_destroy: nothing to destroy

 

Environment

Identity Manager 14.5 Standalone

Cause

DSA certs issues

Resolution

Copy the following cert files from the working CA directory config and config\ssld\personalities folders to the non-working CA Directory node onto the same folders.

impd_trusted.pem
master.p12
hostname-impd-co.pem
hostname-impd-inc.pem
hostname-impd-main.pem 
hostname-impd-notify.pem 

After the certs are copied, please restart the DSAs.
