VMs and Volumes not displayed under Instances tab in VCF Automation 9.0.0 for All Apps Organizations

Issue/Introduction

  • Virtual Machines or Volumes resources provisioned in Supervisor with a Simplified Deployment clusters are not listed under Instances tab in All Apps Organizations in VCF Automation 9.0.0.
  • On catalog-service-app logs, we see the below error messages :
    YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM:SS.XXXZ ERROR catalog-service-app [host='catalog-service-app-XXXXXXXX-XXXXX' thread='scheduling-3' user='' org='' trace='<trace-id>'] c.v.t.d.service.EndpointReconciler - Error registering endpoint <UUID>:<namespace>
    java.lang.RuntimeException: Namespace <UUID>:<namespace> does not support API cluster.x-k8s.io/v1beta1
            at com.vmware.tango.datacollection.service.InformerManagerImpl.adjustWatchKinds(InformerManagerImpl.java:69)
            at com.vmware.tango.datacollection.service.InformerManagerImpl.createResourceInformers(InformerManagerImpl.java:123)

Environment

VCF Automation 9.0.0

Resolution

Supervisor with a Simplified Deployment is not supported by VCF Automation 9.0.0. The only supported Supervisor deployment is Supervisor with NSX VPC Networking .
