Issue/Introduction

Broadcom Inc. has recently updated its password policy for Enterprise users, requiring a password change every 90 days. Users with expired passwords will be redirected to the "Forgot Password" page upon login attempt.

Environment

  • Support Portal
  • Broadcom Communities
  • Partner Portal
  • Symantec Security Cloud
  • Enterprise Console
  • Other Product Portals (accessible with Broadcom credentials)

Cause

This behavior occurs when the Enterprise user's profile password has expired.

Resolution

To regain access:
  • On the Forgot Password page, follow the prompts to reset your password.

    1. Enter your account email, validate the captcha, and click "Next."
    2. A 6-digit verification code will be sent to your email. Enter it and click "Verify & Continue."
    3. A password reset link will then be sent to your email.

  • Create a new password that meets Broadcom’s security requirements.

  • After successfully resetting your password, log in again with your updated credentials.
