Host Battery Status - vSphere alert for ESXi host

Issue/Introduction

vSphere Client will trigger the following alert for ESXi host(s) with a pop up as 'Host battery status' 

 

 

Environment

VMware vSphere ESXi 7.x 
VMware vSphere ESXi 8.x 

Cause

This issue was triggered by an alert generated from the ESXi CIM layer of the internal storage controller's Battery Backup Unit (BBU)

Resolution

Engage the hardware vendor to conduct a detailed investigation of the Storage Controller Battery
