Issue/Introduction

Duplicate IP address getting assigned to the VM's due to conflicting network range. Upon deploying new VM's from Aria Automation, it will pickup duplicate IP address of an existing VM.

Environment

Aria Automation 8.18.x

Cause

This issue can happen, if the network range are overlapping IP subnet range in the IP address pool.

Resolution

Steps:

  1. Identify the VM's with duplicate IP address from the discovered machines tab in Aria Automation.
  2. Delete the VM's with duplicate IP address.
  3. Map the network to the proper range.
  4. Test the deployment and it should not pick up duplicate IP address.
NOTE:  Take a snapshot of all the nodes of the Aria Automation.
